Blossom & Bed Cat's Story

Blossom has adopted every single kitten she’s ever met. As far as she’s concerned, the humans do a poor job of kitten rearing, but she humors us for snacks. She's raised her own litter, and taken on six other orphaned kittens when she was done with her first four. We've never met a cat who loved doting on kittens more! Blossom is a confident, calm cat who is very affectionate to her people, and has incredibly silky soft fur. Blossom doesn’t care about dogs, she’s fine with cats when her own kittens aren’t involved, and she’s fine with children of all ages…you basically can’t find a better cat.

Blossom has done an incredible job raising kittens and saving the lives of six orphans. She deserves a loving home where she can be doted on. Please note that Blossom did eventually test FIV+. For those that don't know, FIV is generally only spread through a deep bite and most research has shown that sharing drinking water, and mutual grooming does not spread FIV (nor does it effect dogs). So FIV kitties can live quite long, healthy lives and they can live with FIV- kitties without transmitting. Blossom is a very chill kitty that gets along well with other animals and has never been aggressive.

She has more recently bonded with a newer resident of the Sanctuary: Bed Cat. He was the cat of an older couple that passed in a car accident that called him Bed Cat because he just liked to sleep on the bed. When we took him in he didn't want to let us pet him and was super shy, but with Blossom he came out of his shell and she taught him to be friendly and let us pet him. Without her, he would still be shy and hiding under the bed any time we entered the room. But with her, he actually enjoys interacting with people! So we know consider these 2 a bonded pair, but with a 2 for 1 discount.

Their adoption fee is $250 and covers both receiving all of the following BEFORE coming to your home…

-spay
-FVRCP vaccines
-leukemia vaccines
-rabies vaccine
-combo tested for FIV (positive for her, neg for him)/FELV (negative)
-microchipped
-dewormed
-flea and ear mite treated

If you think they would be a great addition to your home, please fill out an application and the sanctuary will be in touch with you asap!

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DEAR/Cat
