Blossom

Blossom is a senior kitty. This little one is smart and feisty and doesn't like guff! She is 12 years old. Her previous owner was in and out of hospice for many months, leaving Blossom to fend for herself in an empty house with only a neighbor (and stranger to her) to put food down for her once a day. She learned to hide and express her fear in aggression. When the lady died and we were called in, we had to set a trap in the house to catch her. She had found a tiny hidey hole behind the micro-wave! <br/>Then came the anger! She lashed out at all of us as mightily as she could! We were terrified! And then the transformation began. I put my hand down and let her swat me, again and again. She was so angry! After awhile she kept her claws in and concentrated on hissing and spitting. Awhile more and she began to head bump me and now we are the very best of friends. She purrs when she even just sees me. Now she is friends with all of the volunteers! Our wish and hope for her is to get to a safe and loving home with one person to be her mom who always treats her with love. She will be loyal to that person and she will be an awesome companion!! She just needs a home of her own. She does not like other cats or animals but she loves all of us (PEOPLE) and we love her dearly but we all have cats and cannot offer her what she needs.
