Blizzard's Story
Tuxedo boy Blizzard is a striking Maine coon mix, about ten months old, who was rescued as a frightened, hungry stray after being abandoned outside to fend for himself in our frigid Massachusetts winter. Soon after entering his foster home, he realized that he was in a safe place with people who were being nice to him, and understood that some humans could be trusted. Blizzard's affectionate, mischievous nature emerged, and he enjoys being pet, loves to play, and will happily jump onto the sofa to curl up by his foster mom, who says that Blizzard loves catnip, being held and receiving belly rubs. Blizzard's foster mom says that he peacefully coexists with her cat. We haven’t seen him around dogs or children yet, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids and dogs who know how to interact gently with cats. Blizzard would do best in an interactive home where she isn’t left alone for long hours. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this little guy will gain a devoted companion for life. Blizzard seems like an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

He has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in East Boston. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Blizzard's case, it's a mere $255-- a bargain for a new best friend. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.
.
