Blini's Story
"Blini is the perfect little lady who is just as sweet as she is cute. She's very playful and appears to be making up for lost time on the streets. She LOVES to be around the ABC kittens and gives them a run for their money when it comes to giving a chase. She's everyone's friend and can be found curled up sleeping with one of them. She enjoys the other cat's companionship so she would do best in a home with another (younger playful) cat. She would be perfect with kids! And even though she has had doggo exposure at her foster mom’s, she prefers smaller sized pups over supersize.
Blini is living it up as only a kitten with no worries can: playing with her friends, snuggling, and snacking on treats! Once she has your attention it's up to her when she says you can stop, and when you try to leave, she follows. As of now she loves belly rubs but one should be prepared for some intense play including bunny kicks and teeth once she gets going!"

Should I stop here? Do you get the perfect picture?
OK I will give a bit of background, as it will make you appreciate just how amazing and special this little lady is.
Blini, named after the tiny little pancake, was a VERY young mother who was left outdoors (with her litter of 5 kittens) and basically ignored by her 'owner'. Our friends at Feral Cat Solutions had a discussion with said 'owner' and he agreed to relinquish custody of all: FCS took the kittens, and we took in this darling 9-month-old (born in November of 2024) in mid-August 2025. Our tiny tot only weighed in at 4.46# at intake (tragic!) two weeks later, so we had some fattening up to do to get her program ready. I found out she had become a surrogate mother to another litter as well, something her body just wasn't equipped to handle. My co-worker Lauren took her home and fostered her for us, as she was too delicate to immediately head to Crash’s; they fell madly in love, which was not a difficult task at all!
A week later she had gained good weight and was ready for her surgery (uterus BE GONE!). She cruised through her procedure and initially recovered without issue, but within 2 hours post-op, Blini started bleeding internally and went into acute shock. Quick thinking, supportive care, and all the right meds brought her out of her life-threatening challenge, but I think I sprouted at least 20 new gray hairs through the afternoon ordeal! Turns out that she was harboring a blood parasite known as Mycoplasma, and the stress of the surgery triggered activation of this parasite; the immune system stepped up and immediately (and all too quickly) started taking the red blood cells infected with the organism out of circulation, resulting in internal bleeding and shock. A prolonged course of steroids and antibiotics, after her initial emergency treatment, successfully eradicated the infectious a-holes, and within literal days she was back to her exuberant, bubbly self! Since then, she has had a few rounds of fevers that have been unexplained (most likely viral) O but NOT a result of the Mycoplasma – PHEW!
Because beautiful Blini has spent so much time at Feline Wellness Center, Lauren and I have been doting on her and have become her Number One Fans! WE will be a wee bit sad to see our dynamic girl go into a home that isn’t one of ours, but we will be thrilled to see her bring unrivaled energy and joy to whomever is lucky enough to take her home!
