Blake's Story

Blake is a very active, energetic, outgoing, and curious young adult. He loves to display his impressive athleticism at every opportunity. He is not a lap kitty but is very loving when he gets tired and sleepy. He sleeps with his foster mom every night. He also wakes up his foster human with kisses. He has a dominant personality and would not do well with shy or timid cats. He does prefer to spend time with other cats so his best buddy would be one that will not be annoyed by his playfulness. Blake loves to play, especially with the wand toy and fetch with a toy mouse. He and his sister, Lola, were both rescued from a life-threatening situation by their foster human at 5 weeks old. Lola has since been adopted into a wonderful home. Welcome to Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue's Petfinder webpage. We are so happy you are looking to adopt a pet. KKHR will make sure all cats and kittens are updated on vaccinations, provide a spay neuter certificate to the adopter if an animal has not already been altered, flea and worm meds, and we combo test for FIV/FeLV. Additionally, all cats and kittens will be microchipped. If you are interested in one of our pets you can visit our website www.kittykathavenrescue.org and fill out an application. Your application will be reviewed. Please allow 4 to 5 business days to process applications. Please note: Our policy is to not adopt further than a 50 mile / 60 minute drive from our headquarters in Hoover, Al. There are several reasons why we prefer to do local adoptions. Many come from difficult and traumatic backgrounds and we do our best to make sure that their new home will love and care for them as much as we do.
