Blackjack's Story

As in the game of blackjack, life can be about luck. I’m a pretty, young adult girl named Blackjack whose owner passed away, and the family chose not to keep me or any of the other nine cats who lived with me. But our luck improved. Paws and Claws found us a foster home, where we’ve been living since late June. Yes, many of us have been waiting more than six months to find our forever homes! I am very loving with all people, and I want nothing more than attention. I am not really a fan of other cats, despite living with so many of them. I love playing with hair and if you have a ponytail, I will try pulling it apart. I have a great time kicking around catnip fish. If you’re looking for a sweet, lovable kitty cat, I hope you’ll deal me in! Beautiful Blackjack is hoping she’s in the cards for you!<br/>I will be staying in my foster home. Paws and Claws Humane Society's Adoption Policy

IMPORTANT UPDATE Although our shelter is open to potential adopters during the viewing hours listed on this page, Paws and Claws prefers to schedule viewings and adoptions by appointment. To make an appointment to meet and adopt one of the companion animals on our Website, we ask that you fill out an online application. Potential adopters can either click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION link on the right side of this page, or visit our Website at pawsandclaws.org and go to the "Willing to Adopt a Pet" section, then select the orange "Adoption Form" box. This will allow you to access the Adoption Guidelines and Application Form. After reading the Adoption Guidelines, either complete the online adoption form and return it to us, or print the Adoption Form, fill in the required information, sign it, and email it back to us via info@pawsandclaws.org. You may list up to four animals that you would like to meet. We review the emails every day. We will process all applications in the order that they are received and then once your application has been approved, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to meet the animal(s) and if possible, do the adoption on the same day you come in.
