Blackie's Story

Blackie’s videos speak for themselves—just look at how sweet and affectionate this little void is! True to classic black cat nature, Blackie cannot get enough pets. She absolutely loves being held and will reward you with the most adorable, squeaky purrs you’ll quickly become addicted to.

Blackie was rescued from a hoarding situation with over 50 cats, which may explain her deep craving for love and attention. As a young cat, she’s playful and especially loves feather wand toys. She would thrive with a feline companion and would be a perfect fit for a home that already has a friendly cat, as she’s very comfortable being around other kitties.

Blackie is fully vetted: she has received three distemper vaccines, her rabies vaccine, tested negative for FIV and FELV, has been deflead and dewormed, microchipped to our organization, and spayed.

*We only adopt to homes within New Jersey and require that adopters live approximately within one hour of our two home bases in North Bergen and Florham Park. While travel time is a general guideline, applications may still be denied if the distance in miles is too far, even if technically within an hour, due to limitations in transport and post-adoption support.
