Blackberry's Story

Meet Blackberry, or as her friends call her, “BB.” She's a wobbly, wonderful bundle of joy with her signature single white whisker. BB was rescued alongside over 20 cats from a local fruit warehouse. Several of the rescued cats, including BB, have a condition called cerebella hypoplasia which causes them to wobble. Although sadly born with a preventable condition, CH cats live long healthy and playful lives just like any other of their feline friends.

BB doesn't let her condition slow her down. She LOVES playing with her mouse on a string or trying to beat her foster siblings to the feather wand. She would love to live in a home with other pets. She need a young cat or kitten friend (we can help if you don't have one already!), and she does tolerate the resident dog at her foster very well.

While not a super snuggler, she likes to be in the room where the action is happening and observe from her fluffy donut bed. She allows her foster mom to trim her nails and brush her, ideally with a Churu treat afterwards!

BB will do best in a home without stairs and with a patient human and kind & playful friends. Her CH is mild, but she does tend to take a few tumbles so a soft landing area/homebase where she can return to will put her right at ease. She uses yoga mats for extra traction getting to her eating station and litter box - and it works perfectly.

If you are interested in adopting Blackberry, please fill out an application at https://www.greenpointcats.org/adoption-application
