Biscuit 's Story

Meet Biscuit 🖤🤍 — a ruggedly handsome tuxedo boy with a heart that’s learning it’s finally safe.

Cats: Well - Matched
Dogs: Maybe
Kids: No thank- you

Biscuit spent years surviving on the streets and was found alongside our sweetheart Buttercup, the two of them looking out for each other. He was a tough boy to trap — smart, cautious, and understandably afraid — but even then he showed us who he really was. He’d happily enjoy Churu tubes and gentle pats, but being picked up sent him into panic. We knew the humane trap was the kindest way to bring him to safety without breaking his trust.

Shelter life was scary at first, but Biscuit has truly blossomed. He’s back to accepting pats, soaking up attention, and reminding us every day why saving him was so worth it.

Biscuit is about 5 years old and has been neutered, microchipped, SNAP tested negative, and had bloodwork and a urinalysis — all looking great. He has a dental coming up for a few broken teeth. Biscuit could do well in a home with a well-matched cat or dog, but he’s not a fan of little ones; older, respectful teens may be okay for this sensitive guy.

We are so excited to show Biscuit what love, comfort, and the good life truly mean. His adoption fee is $225 + tax.
If you feel a pull toward this special boy, please fill out an application below — Biscuit is ready for his forever home. 💛

Application:
https://www.newwestcity.ca/services/animal-services/animal-shelter#adoption-application-forms

Petfind Bio: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/biscuit-06e93461-4d74-4cce-b932-f356a69c1489/bc/new-westminster/new-westminster-animal-shelter-bc105/details/

New Westminster Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AN ANIMAL, please submit an application form. This is the FIRST step in the adoption process. Please do NOT email us just to express interest. https://www.newwestcity.ca/services/animal-services/animal-shelter Our animals have unique personalities and needs. Our goal is to find the most suitable home for them and the most suitable pet for you. We make every effort to place animals in “forever” homes so they don’t find themselves back in a shelter. They’ve already lost their home once, and we don’t want them to go through that again. All applications are reviewed by two shelter staff members. We also conduct a phone interview, at which time we will address any questions or concerns you may have. Typically, we are able to inform applicants within 72 hours. If your application has been approved, we will then schedule a time for you to come pick up your new family member!
