Birdie's Story

Birdie is a stunning 3-year-old black-and-white long-haired tuxedo who found his way into an LIC garden last fall, joining a well-cared-for TNR colony. It quickly became clear that Birdie had once known life indoors, and when he entered foster care, his affectionate nature shone through.

Birdie is incredibly loving and bonds closely with his people, but his past remains a mystery. At first, sudden movements could make him nervous and overstimulated, yet over the past two months in foster he has made wonderful progress and continues to grow more relaxed and confident every day. Birdie will thrive with a patient, experienced adopter in a calm, adult-only home who can give him the time and understanding he deserves.

This handsome boy’s favorite things include being brushed (his absolute favorite!), lounging with his foster dad, watching TV, and faithfully following his person from room to room. Birdie is a social cat who happily greets visitors and enjoys being part of the action. He loves playtime, Churu treats, and Temptations, and he currently lives with another young cat — they enjoy playing together but also respect each other’s space.

Birdie has come so far and is ready for a loving forever home where he can continue to blossom into the wonderful companion he is meant to be.

Birdie is up to date on his vaccines and is neutered!
