Binx 's Story
Binx is 7yo and is looking for his forever home. Unfortunately, he does best as the only pet. He has had some time with a female cat and that was fine. He was recently diagnosed with FLUTD but is managed with urinary cat food. Hes a sweet boy who may do best in a home with a retired or semi-retired couple.

Notes from the foster:

Our dear Binx loves his catio from where he eagerly observes the squirrels, birds, rabbits and deer.
The windows in our house are all without shades and fully accessible for cat enjoyment.
Binx is always eager to free his treats from the available food puzzles, likes chasing feather wands where a human operates the toy, but loses interest fairly quickly in battery operated toys.
Early in the morning and before bed, Binx likes racing through the house at top speed for the sheer joy of it :)
This behavior is sometimes repeated upon foster moms return from work: My favorite is when I talk to Binx and he flops next to my feet, purring, asking for pets.
Binx isnt a lap cat, but he stays close to the humans living in the house to make sure that he knows what is going on with his servants. Two brushes are always available and Binx has learned how good a thorough bristle brush massage feels; such blissful purring! But it is the servants job to watch for tell-tale tail slapping and stop before kitty gets overstimulated and nibbles the hand. In general, Binx is an expert tail swisher, theres none better in the land!
Binx is an outstanding Nurse-kitty. One of his servants was quite sick and Binx slept on the pillow next to the human to keep an eye on her. Once she healthy again, Binx went back to sleeping in his nest in the living room. This cat sure knows how to get lots of handsome-sleep every day! Varying the location of his snooze as there are many spots to chose from.
Binx prefers a tall rope scratching post over carpet or even wood. Terry cloth and felted balls are his favorite to bat and carry around. Large springs get carried through the house and all of it ends up under the couch. Oh, what fun to watch the servants on hands and knees retrieving the toys. Thats a whole new game in itself!
Binx is in general respectful of house plants, but not of the kitchen counters. Hes decided that the no cats on kitchen surfaces isnt a rule hes gonna follow. The good news: Binx is utterly uninterested in people food!
Binx is a great kitty who doesnt ask for much: a quiet home with people who are home a lot, lots of love and interaction, respect for his personal space and quirks, plenty of clean water sources (loves drinking from the spigot of his fountain), good food, his gargantuan litter box and loads of felt balls to kick, chase and carry around, and a little bit of catnip once in a while.
