Binx 's Story

Binx is 7yo and is looking for his forever home. Unfortunately, he does best as the only pet. He has had some time with a female cat and that was fine. He *cannot* live with a male cat, and he may still do best alone.

Notes from the foster:

Binx is becoming quite the character. He's more vocal, chirping to acknowledge our presence, meowing to get the front door opened. He's in sync with human schedule and snoozes through the night, in general he only jumps on the bed close to the time the alarm clock rings. Then he's really into pets and purrs. He often flops down next to the foster, nestled into their arm or leg. But never longer than 10 minutes, then he's off doing Binx stuff and often tearing through the house for a few laps. Loves the tiny felt balls and crinkle balls. They somehow end up in funny places.

For a few nights the foster set up the trail cam to figure out where Binx spends his nights. Under the red couch! But there's a lot of patrolling the entire house going on too. While the foster is at work, Binx spends time on his cat tree or hangs out with the foster’s hubs in the office.

There's a gray squirrel with a death wish that drives the cat crazy too. All in all, Binx is a good houseguest 🐈‍⬛

Funny story from the foster: we're in the living room reading and hear the desk going up (one of those stand-up desks). We go to investigate and find Binx sitting on the desk next to the button that activates up or down 😆

Binx is a great kitty but also has his limits. He has very tell-“tail” signs of needing his own space. His tail will very clearly tell you he prefers not to be disturbed.

Binx did live with a toddler who was his best friend who could smother him with attention and he lapped it up, but we may exercise caution just in case there.

Binx is fixed, tested, chipped and UTD on vaccines.

Apply today at: feistyfelines.org/adoption-application

Feisty Felines's Adoption Policy
Please keep in mind that these kittens are primarily feral-born and their full history is often unknown. Their level of friendliness will vary depending on a number of factors, but we always do our best to describe their current comfort level in the posting. We require indoor-only homes. Partly due to the nature of the work we do with feral-born kittens that would be extremely difficult to get back inside if they escape outside. But also due to inherent dangers outside. (Rare exceptions may be made for adult cats that have previously been indoor/outdoor and would not adapt well as indoor-only pets, but these are uncommon). We also require owners to never declaw any adopted cats. Declawing is inhumane and has been shown to have a high correlation with chronic behavioral and health issues. With regards to kittens only, please note that we do give preference to approved adopters seeking a bonded pair of kittens. However, we understand not all homes can adopt a pair of kittens, so our secondary preference is a home a home with other cats. We may occasionally have kittens who would do well in a home with a dog or without other cats, but this is less common. While us humans can love them and play with them, it isn’t the same. They really do better with a friend. This policy does not apply to teenagers or adults. Adult (1 year +) and teenage cats (6 months to a year) may go to a home without other pets as long as we think they would thrive in that environment. Please note that all cats and kittens are placed on a case-by-case basis and there may be some unique exceptions to these policies if we think it is best for the cat. Thank you for understanding. They are fixed, chipped, vaccinated, combo testing done, deflead and dewormed. Adults and “shy guy” kitties receive the same treatment and are a discounted rate (dependent on level of shyness). Adoptions include a 30-day refund guarantee. If for any reason you decide it’s not a good fit within the first 30 days we will issue a full refund. Of course we will gladly take the kitty back beyond 30 days (space permitting), but refunds beyond 30 days are not guaranteed. To be considered, please apply at feistyfelines.org/adoption-application. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue! <3
