Billy Ray's Story
Are you an amazing person that likes to help provide a perfect life for a special need animal. The person who doesn't pass up on a sweet kitten because he has special needs? We are so happy you are here, Billy Ray needs your loving!

Billy Ray was born with a prominent murmur. What does that mean? Think of a heart valve like a little one-way door. It should close tightly after blood passes through. In these kittens, that door doesn't close normally, allowing some blood to leak backward or in a swirly motion causing the unique murmur sound.

Billy Ray was born with a significant unique formation involving the tricuspid valve, and unfortunately because the leak is more significant, we are already seeing changes/enlargement of the right atrium and right ventricle. Meaning his heart is working harder and his heart is compensating by getting thicker which leads to less rom for blood to flow through.

HOWEVER Billy Ray says I don't have an ACKY BREAKY HEARTY, Right now, this kitten is still a kitten who likes to be wild, fun loving, above and loving . We do know the heart disease could progress. At some point in the future, it could potentially lead to congestive heart failure.

We don't have a crystal ball. We can't tell if heart function challenges will happen soon, years from now, or what the kitten's ultimate lifespan will be.

What we can promise is that this boy deserves every wonderful day ahead. We are willing to have Billy Ray be a Furever Medical Foster. This means Pawsitive Hope provides medical care for anything heart related and adopter covers care/cost of preventative and daily care.

And that's where we need someone special.

We are open to an adopter, foster-to-adopt home, or FUREVER FOSTER home.

With our Furever Foster option, Pawsitive Hope will remain financially responsible for approved heart-related care and monitoring. You provide the home, everyday care, food, litter, routine veterinary needs-and most importantly, the love.

Interested please apply at www.pawsitivehope.org.

Questions message adoptions@pawsitivehope.org

If you have current animals they need to be fixed and up to date on vaccines. You can send records to adoptions@pawsitivehope.org to speed up process.
