It was a haven he understood, a rhythm he relied on—until a devastating fire changed everything. He is one of the lucky survivors, but the memories of that frightening day linger in the cautious way he moves and the timid glances he gives as he adjusts to life here at Kitty Corner. He’s gathering his bearings, trying to rebuild his sense of safety one small moment at a time.<br/><br/>Beneath that understandable fear, though, lies a truly tender soul.<br/><br/>He has lived peacefully with other cats and even shared space with dogs in his previous sanctuary home, showing that his heart is open and capable of forming bonds. At this time, however, we are seeking a forever home without young children—somewhere tranquil, understanding, and full of gentle reassurance—so Big OJ can heal at his own pace.<br/><br/>This sweet survivor isn’t just looking for a home; he’s searching for someone who sees the bravery in his small steps forward, someone who understands that trust, once broken, grows best with compassion. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.<br/><br/>Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet.<br/><br/>Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.<br/><br/>No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.<br/><br/>We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.
