Big Mac's Story
Big Mac is a very sweet and loving boy with a gentle, friendly personality. He enjoys affection and companionship but also values his independence. He tends to keep to himself and will come to you when he's ready for love, making his cuddles feel extra special.

He has had experience with both dogs and cats, though he doesn't seem to truly enjoy living with either. Because of this, he may do best in an only-pet home where he can feel fully comfortable and relaxed. Slow introductions to any new environment are always recommended to help him settle in at his own pace.

He has had litter box concerns in the past, but uses his box consistently in the shelter. It is important his adopter is prepared to set him up for success with proper litter box setup and care. Ask a staff for more information!

Big Mac has been around children ranging from just 4 months old to 6 years old and does very well with them. He is calm, patient, and friendly, making him a great fit for a family setting.

Big Mac is happy to sleep and lounge, but he does have his random, playful spurts of energy where he'll run around and show off his silly side. Overall, he's a loving, easygoing companion who would thrive in a calm, understanding home that appreciates his sweet nature and relaxed lifestyle.

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.
**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
