Happy Fall! The calendar might say we are in the "ber" months, but the temperatures are still warm! That means we are still struggling through kitten season. We desperately need to make room to get Moms, kittens and other cats in and fixed before the cold comes. Please consider adopting! And tell your friend to adopt too! In fact I'm just tuxedo wearing cute teddy bear of a kitty! <br/>Let me tell you about my lucky day! I was wandering around outside looking for something to eat and someone finally paid attention to me! They looked past my seemingly tough exterior and realized I'm just a big old sweetheart! They knew I should be inside...finally! Yayyyy! I got the break I was looking for! I was so tired of being outside. I'm ready to be a housecat! I want pets and love! I want a bowl full of kitty food and a full belly! I love playing with mousey toys and laser pointers. Being inside is the best! <br/><br/>You've read this far, what do you think? So you think I'm the kitty for you? I know I'm a little older, but I just went to the doctor and got a dental cleaning and some bad teeth pulled out, so I'm feeling so much better and I'm ready to go! <br/>How about coming to meet me then? I have my own "room" at the shelter and we can visit! I like other kitties, so If you already have a kitty friend we should be able to get along (with the proper introduction period). Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
