Big Bang's Story

Big Bang is a friendly grey-and-white shorthair, about a year and a half old, who was rescued off the street as a frightened, hungry, abandoned stray after the person who meant the world to him just dumped him out to fend for himself in single-digit temperature-- discarded him as though he were worthless! Well, he's not worthless, he's a treasure! Give him love and he will give you 1000 times more in return. You'll never get anything better than that. Once he arrived in his foster home, it didn't take him long to realize that he had just gotten out of a bad situation and into a much better one. Within a couple of days, Big Bang was expanding his personality by making biscuits, rolling over on blankets with his foster parents, and generally being a rub-up-against-you cat and a curl-up-next-to-you cat. Whether he's hanging out with you on the sofa or merely radiating in the background, he will add warmth to any home. We haven’t seen him around dogs or children yet. We think he'd do fine with kids who know how to be respectful to cats. Nearly all cats are OK with kids like that. He also did well when he was held for a couple of nights in a volunteer's home in the presence of other cats. Big Bang would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours-- not just in theory. Whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this boy will gain a companion for life who will be devoted down to a quantum level. Big Bang seems like a singularly easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

He has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in Boston's Fenway area. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. In Big Bang's case, it's a mere $225-- a bargain for a new best friend who will love you for the rest of his life. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.
.
