My name is Bibi! I’m a 1-year-old, spayed girl with a classic black-and-white cow cat coat and the most beautiful golden eyes you’ve ever seen. I’m FIV positive, which simply means I need to live indoors and receive regular vet care. With that, I can live a long, happy, normal life — just like any other cat! I can even live with other friendly cats as long as we get along. I’m a total lovebug and do great with men, women, and children. If you’re looking for a true lap cat, I’m your girl. I will happily sit on your lap for hours, cuddling and soaking up all the affection you’re willing to give. My favorite things include pets, head scratches, being brushed, and just chilling with my people. I also love catnip, watching cat TV, and relaxing nearby while you go about your day. I’m calm, gentle, and incredibly affectionate — the kind of companion who makes everything feel a little cozier. Ames Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

In order to better serve our adopters and ensure our animals remain healthy and happy, our animals are available for viewing by adoption appointment only. Adoption appointments are scheduled once an application has been submitted. Our adoption process is the following: Step One: Review the available animals through the links below Step Two: If you see someone you are interested in, submit an adoption application (be sure to list their name on the application.) Step Three: A staff member will review your application and reach out to you by email once it has been approved. If approved, they will schedule you an appointment to come in and meet the animal.
