Bianca's Story

Bianca and her brother Barrett are very pretty adult cats who were rescued from death row at a high-kill shelter in Kentucky.

They are a bonded pair, and both are very timid, afraid and shy. This pair would do best in quiet and calm surroundings with cat-savvy people who can give them time to get their bearings and just let them BE.

Bianca is very skittish and tends to stay hidden and avoid most human contact. We are hopeful that with the right kind of patient love and attention, Bianca will feel safe enough to sit out in the open.

Barrett is very sweet and gentle and simply needs someone he can trust. When his foster mom sits near him, Barrett will cringe for several minutes while being petted, until he decides he can relax. Then he rolls around and purrs, making many happy blinks.

If you're a kind, patient and experienced cat person who is willing to invest time to help these "scaredy cats" blossom and regain trust in others, then Barrett and Bianca might be the right fit for you. They would do best as the only cats in a household with no other animals and no young children.

Their age has been revised upwards several times at the shelter, but we believe they are about 8 years old.

Barrett is neutered and Bianca is spayed. Both are current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV (Feline AIDS) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia).

Interested in adopting Barrett and Bianca or one of our other wonderful kitties?
