Betty 's Story

Meet Betty a beautiful plus sized kitty looking for a home. Betty starts out shy but give her some time and she will show you her beautiful belly and ask for some rubs. Betty is working on shedding a pound or two but is healthy and really a sweet girl. Looking for a middle aged couch potato, Betty just might be the one.
Betty arrived with another cat (Mint) but truly prefers the single life.

Here is what her foster has to say:
"Betty is initially a shy girl but once she warms up becomes a lovebug. Even on the first night in her foster's place, she came out from hiding under the bed for pets. She flops over asking for pets and will quickly rev up her purrs!

Betty loves perching high up, and is the queen of the top of the cat tower. She'll love lazing and watching TV with you (especially cat TV with birds) but is also very playful. Her favorite toys so far are the cat dancer toy, and she loves her kicker toy with catnip in it. She has the sweetest meow to ask for pets and attention.

Betty has come very far! Now, after time and patience, she's my shadow around the house, and meows begging me to get on the ground and pet her(she likes rolling around on a paper bag while I scratch her tummy and her back). She's slept in my bed with me a couple times, and most nights we both fall asleep with my arm around her on the couch.

It might be my imagination but it also looks like she's lost some weight (hard to weigh her). Even with her weight though she is very active and dexterous, and is the most playful 6 year old I've met, running around chasing after my wand toy. She loves her churu though and I give her some every morning while giving her a good brushing.

I'm excited to see her go to her next home, I know they'll be getting an amazing, curious companion. As she's gotten more comfortable she's been great at keeping me company. I would genuinely adopt her, but I want to continue fostering, so since she's better as a single, I'm just happy to spend the time with her until we get her to her forever home "

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?

Please visit pbj.org and click the ADOPT link at the top of the page to complete a no-obligation adoption application and to view our adoption fees.

It's best to apply and be pre-approved to adopt before attending an adoption event.

We are always in need of foster homes ... to learn more, please visit pbj.org and click the FOSTER button at the top of our home page.

The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV combo testing, microchipping, and spay/neuter.
