Bessie's Story

Hey! My name is Bessie!

I'm a good little girl who gets more affectionate each day.

I was born on a farm to a stray mother cat. My shelter mom spotted me, my littermates, and my older kitten cousins during her drive to work. She collaborated with the farmer to ensure that we were all safely trapped and brought to the shelter. I'm so grateful for that, because the barn was far too close to a busy road, and it turned out that we were all very sick little kittens. After a round of antibiotics, eye ointment, and plenty of love, we have since become healthy and very spoiled kittens.

My favorite thing to do is play with my shelter friends. We are constantly running all over this shelter! When I'm all tired from playing, I like to find a nice, quiet spot, next to one of the adult cats, and cuddle with them.

I'm a huge fan of food and treats. My shelter mom says I turn into a ballerina when it's meal time because I get sooo excited that I stand up on my back legs and twirl around! I do accept pets and can be picked up- I think sometimes the shelter life stresses me out a bit. I feel if I was in a quieter environment, I would be able relax and concentrate on being the super affectionate little girl I know I'm capable of being.

Since I'm used to living with a colony, I would prefer to be in a home with other cats.

I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. I was born in the summer of 2025.

Will you give me a chance at a loving, forever home?

Adoption Application:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SCPA/Cat
