Bert 's Story

Bert is a 7-month-old boy who came to us as a stray.

Bert is an active, affectionate, and incredibly personable kitten. He may be a little tentative when first exploring new surroundings, but once he feels comfortable, his true personality shines! Soon you’ll find Bert happily curled up in your lap, purring loudly and enthusiastically demanding pets. Bert has plenty of kitten energy and thrives with regular play and enrichment. He would do best in a home with a companion who can devote time to interactive play and bonding, as Bert truly loves both companionship and engagement.

Bert is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Bert is FeLV discordant, meaning that he has been exposed to the feline leukemia virus but his bone marrow has not yet been infected by the virus. We strongly recommend that FeLV discordant cats be placed as only cats in the home.

Bert has also tested positive for FIV, but that will not affect his lifespan. Our adoption team is happy to answer any questions you may have about FIV!

If you have already submitted an application with us, you do not need to do another one, please email adoptioncounselor@mrfrs.org if you are interested in adopting Bert. We will take inquiries on a first come, first served basis via email. If you have not completed our questionnaire, please do so here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MER/Cat
