Bert's Story

I was an outdoor cat before coming to Safe Haven. It has taken me some time to get used to being indoors. I am a very handsome boy looking for a home to call my own. I enjoy being talked to and getting affection from humans. I enjoy being petted from the people I have come to know. I make the best biscuits, and am starting to purr. I would love a quiet, patient home where I can enjoy my life. I will need some time to get used to a new home. If you have it in your heart to take on a special guy like me please submit an application for me today.

This 1.5 year old purrfect feline’s adoption donation is $75 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, flea/tick preventative, and dewormer. Please fill out an adoption application at www.safehavenforpets.org. If you have any further questions, please email safehaven1471@gmail.com or call 815-858-2265.

Once someone picks out a cat or a dog they would like to adopt from us, we ask them to fill out an adoption application on our website www.safehavenforpets.org. After the application is reviewed (within 1 to 2 business days) we will try to contact the applicant by calling or emailing them. If the adoption is approved, we will then try to set up a day and time that the adopters can come to the shelter to pick up their new pet! At that time we will have the new owners sign some paperwork and provide us with the adoption donation fee. The adoption donation fee for a dog is $200. The adoption donation fee for a cat is $75.
