Beret's Story
Meet Beret, the sweetest little fashionista still waiting to find her forever home!

Beret is one of the last two kittens remaining from an adorable litter of six, all named after different hats (because their lovely mama, Hattie, had to start a trend!). While her mama and most of her siblings been adopted, Beret is still patiently waiting for someone to choose her. And trust us... she's worth choosing.

Beret may not have eyes, but she navigates the world in her own beautiful way. Because she's blind, she relies on her other senses, especially her sense of touch and sound, to navigate her surroundings and connect with her people. She's incredibly adaptable and learns her environment quickly. Once she knows where everything is, she moves around with confidence. She also has a unique way of communicating. Since she can't rely on visual cues, Beret sometimes uses her mouth to explore, express herself, or get your attention. It's simply how she processes her world! Because of this, she needs a patient and understanding adopter who recognizes that this behavior is part of how she communicates and is willing to lovingly guide her as she continues to grow.

Beret would do well in a home that can offer consistency and compassion. If there are children in the household, they must be cat savvy kids. We define a "cat savvy kid" as a child who can demonstrate how to approach and interact with cats safely, shows awareness of feline body language and behavior, and uses safe, gentle handling skills.
Despite her challenges, Beret is playful, affectionate, and full of personality. Once she bonds with you, she'll happily curl up beside you, like your own tiny beret perched cozily in your lap instead of on your head! If you're looking for a special kitten with a big heart and an even bigger story, Beret is ready to complete your family puzzle.
