Bento (bonded with Bunny)'s Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Bento is a social cat and must have a young cat companion in his new home. His brother Bunny is a great choice and Bento has marked him as his buddy for life. The two must be adopted together.

Bento, his brothers and younger siblings — all born of momma Beaux — were surviving by going from one backyard to another of homeowners who were providing food. They were rescued rather late in kittenhood, and has been in kitten finishing school to acclimate them to indoor living for the past little while. Bento and Bunny have adjusted nicely to accepting human company and all the accompanying good things: food, treats, toys and love. It’s time for Bento to strike out on his own with Bunny in tow, and find their forever family to settle down with.

Bento is a chip off momma Beaux’s good looks, and sports a handsome grey tuxedo with an impressive white bib and white socks. He is quite confident and outgoing, being the first to venture and check out the people now in his space. He is energetic, very curious, and playful with his brothers and toys he can chase or smack. Comfortable now to chill out on an available lap, Bento enjoys back rubs and even rolls over for tummy rubs! But until he totally trusts you, best to keep belly rubs short and sweet to avoid over-stimulation. This smart boy is learning not to use claws when playing with people, and responds nicely to positive reinforcements.

Bento is a sweet and lucky cat willing and eager to make a loving connection with people, now that he no longer has to expend energy everyday seeking shelter and food. With Bunny snuggled by his side, Bento will devote himself to eat, play and love, and make a family very happy instead!

Would you like to make Bento and Bunny a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
