Benny's Story

Benny is a 6-month-old little black panther who was rescued while trapping neighborhood strays for spay/neuter. We quickly realized this shy little guy deserved a chance at a safe, loving home of his own!

Benny is opening up more every day. He’s especially social in the late evening, when he’ll run around your feet just waiting for a chance to rub against your legs for pets. He’s becoming more comfortable with being picked up — a big step for this once shy boy! He has been fostered for the past 3 months and the love in his eyes is taking over the fear.

His purr is one of the cutest things you’ll ever hear — it sounds almost like tiny little bird chirps. And when it comes to toys, his curiosity takes over. Loves to play!

He’s been playing with a fellow kitten and adult cat and has really benefited from having feline friends around. A friendly, confident cat companion would likely be wonderful for Benny and help show him the ropes.

Benny is fostered in a home with a dog and while he is curious about dogs, he can be easily startled, so a calm, respectful dog and slow introductions would be best. He’s all ready to go -- neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations.

Benny will need patience while he learns to trust, but earning his heart is going to be incredibly rewarding. He’s not looking for someone who expects instant cuddles. He’s looking for someone willing to give him the time, love, and companionship to become the confident, affectionate cat he’s meant to be. Could that be you? If so, apply to adopt Benny!

Note: All of our cats are in foster homes in the Pittsburgh area, so the first step in adopting from us is to fill out an application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
