Benjamin is a shy and reserved Domestic Shorthair who just needs a little extra time to feel safe and confident. Born as a stray in June 2025, the world can feel big to him at first, but with patience and kindness, Benjamin will slowly show his gentle, loving side. He’s the kind of kitten who forms deep bonds once trust is built. Benjamin requires an indoor-only home where he can adjust at his own pace. With proper introductions, he could live happily with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, or children who understand giving him space to blossom. For someone who appreciates a quieter companion, Benjamin will be a very special reward. Benld Adopt-A-Pet's Adoption Policy

To adopt you must live within 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld, O’Fallon or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age. We require that you be physically present to make the final adoption arrangements. We also require that all cats be kept indoors, and that all dogs be kept or live indoors, with a secure fenced-in yard or pen for when they are outside, unless otherwise discussed and mutually agreed upon ahead of time. Failure to comply with any of these requirements may constitute sufficient grounds for our reclaiming the adopted animal. In order to adopt, you must first complete an Adoption Inquiry, and upon approval, an Adoption Agreement.
