Benito's Story

Benito and his family (Bunny, Choli, Titi, Dakiti, and Mia) were rescued together from Puerto Rico’s El Yunque Rainforest. While out on a hike, their mama Bunny was spotted on the side of the road and, after some time, led the way to her kittens hidden among the trees, rain, and earth. Benito and his family made the journey home with us from Puerto Rico and are now affectionately known as our Bad Bunny, or El Yunque, babies. Benito is named after Bad Bunny himself, whose real name is Benito, making his name especially fitting.

Benito is a bundle of energy in the very best way. He is extremely friendly, affectionate, playful, and confident, with a personality that fills a room. Benito loves being close to his people and has no problem climbing right on top of you to make sure he’s included in whatever you’re doing. He is a true lovebug who wants to be part of everything.

Benito proudly serves as greeter-in-chief when friends come over. He loves everyone equally and is not selective about affection at all. Fair warning: you may want to check your guests’ bags when they leave, because Benito is so lovable that he might try to go home with them, or they might want to take him home.

With his huge ears and big, expressive eyes, Benito is impossible to ignore. Like his sister Choli, he loves warmth and is happiest soaking it up and then sharing it right back with you. He also enjoys hanging out and watching TV with his people, especially during long binge-watching sessions.

Benito is playful and energetic, but he also knows how to settle and simply enjoy being near his people. He does well with other cats, is great with children, and would likely be comfortable with a calm, cat-friendly dog given a proper introduction.

Benito is neutered, dewormed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative.

If you are looking for a confident, affectionate kitten with a big personality, a lot of love to give, and a best-friend-to-everyone attitude, Benito may be the perfect addition to your family.
