Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. <br/><br/><br/>The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.<br/><br/><br/>BELLATRIX and her 3 siblings (LILY POTTER, JAMES POTTER and SIRIUS BLACK) were found in the back yard in San Jacinto, California. The owner of the home trapped mom, got her fixed and released her back into her back yard. Mama cat is very well taken care of. But the owner of the home needed help getting the kittens homes. So we agreed to help her if she fostered them until we could get them vetted and put at PETSMART. <br/><br/><br/>Meet BELLATRIX, affectionately known as "Belly", a feisty calico from San Jacinto, California, whose playful mischief is as colorful as her striking fur coat. This little bundle of energy thrives on fun and spontaneity—if there’s a chance to stir up some mayhem, BELLATRIX will be right there, paws in action, with a gleam of excitement in her eyes. She’s got a bit of a wild side, always ready to pounce on an unsuspecting toy (or sibling!), and when paired with her brother, SIRIUS BLACK, you can expect double the adventure and double the laughter. These two love to roughhouse, turning any space into their own private playground.<br/><br/><br/>But don’t let her spirited nature fool you—BELLATRIX has a soft, affectionate side that shines through whenever she’s around people. She’s the type of kitten who makes sure everyone knows they’re loved, greeting you with eager purrs and sweet little licks on your hands. When she’s not plotting her next playful escapade, she’s likely curled up next to you, soaking in some well-earned cuddle time. BELLATRIX adores the company of her human friends and has a heart full of love to share.<br/><br/><br/>With her bold personality and curious nature, BELLATRIX brings a spark of joy to every moment. She is about 1 year 9 months old. She has been around cats, but she isn't very fond of them. She has lived with children and a dog. As stated before, she really gets along with her brother SIRIUS BLACK. But they don't need to go together.<br/><br/><br/>BELLATRIX is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/><br/>1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract<br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. <br/><br/><br/>Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.<br/><br/><br/>******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************<br/><br/><br/>The cats/kittens at a foster or the rescue, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below: <br/><br/><br/>****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA, INDUSTY and WEST COVINA ONLY. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
