Bellatrix's Story
Meet Bellatrix!

Bellatrix is a 3-4 year old girl who has a gentle, sensitive soul and takes time to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, her love runs deep. She is sweet, cautious, and shy by nature, and she forms strong, lasting bonds with her humans. Beneath her quiet demeanor is an incredibly affectionate cat who thrives on connection.

Bellatrix would do best with a moderately experienced cat owner. Someone brand new to cats may find her challenging or even “boring” at first, as she tends to hide under blankets and may retreat when approached. She needs a patient, attentive person who is willing to gently engage with her—picking her up, holding her, petting her, approaching her calmly, and allowing her to set the pace while building trust. With proactive affection and consistent care, she truly blossoms.

Bellatrix’s story is a difficult one. She had to stay behind when her human—one of my closest friends—was forced to leave the country due to visa issues and difficulty finding work. I strongly suspect Bellatrix is still grieving that loss, and her former human is heartbroken as well. She is looking for someone who can offer her stability, understanding, and a safe place to heal.

One unique thing about Bellatrix is that she genuinely enjoys baths and showers—something that surprised me as well. Her human used to bathe her once a week, and I’ve found that this routine actually helps her acclimate and feel more settled in her environment.

She is also in the process of transitioning to a wet-food-only diet and will need someone committed to continuing that. Bellatrix is a picky eater and prefers pâtés and watery or soupy foods, so patience and consistency with her meals are important.

Bellatrix also has experience living both with other cats and as a solo companion.

Ready to adopt Bellatrix:
-Submit an application in our website
www.findyourcatpanion.org/adopt-a-cat
-Contact us at adopt@findyourcatpanion.org
-Find more pictures of Bellatrix and other adoptables here:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/SURmCGmbQqWrGjSW6
