Bella and Gigi (paired only)'s Story

*Please thoroughly read the profile before submitting an adoption application and include your pet rental documentation if you are renting*

Gigi and Bella are littermate sisters born approximately in Oct 2022. They were brought into the local humane society and then transferred to the Foundation for more socializing and so they would not have to spend their lives as barn cats.

These two sisters are looking for someone who is patient and willing to give them a few months to settle into their new home. They do great in their foster home because they are familiar with it. They are a bonded pair who rely heavily on each other for support while learning new things.

Gigi (tabby) is the more adventurous and outgoing of the two. Both however are very food motivated and this has been an excellent tool in earning trust and learning to not be fearful of new things. Bella (torbie) is a little more cautious of new people and needs someone who will be patient and take things slowly. Both girls love to play with wand toys and mice. They also enjoy cat trees and cardboard scratchers. With proper introductions, they get along well with other cats and gentle dogs.

Because of their continued progress with realizing the world is not as scary of a place as they once thought it was we recommend no children in their future home. Respectful dogs are ok and they would benefit if there is an already outgoing (but not aggressive) cat present.

Bella and Gigi are located in the Tacoma, WA area. They are healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. They are combo tested (NEG/NEG).

ADOPTION INSTRUCTIONS

All of our animal companions are in foster homes, so visits are arranged with the foster family. A home visit and meet-and-greet with the animal and potential family will be arranged according to mutual schedules. All members of the family, including other animals, participate. If it is mutually decided to move forward, we offer a pre-adopt period for 7 days so that everyone can interact in the home environment. A legal and binding release is signed by the potential adopter accepting full responsibility for the animal(s) while in their care during this time period. The adoption fee for cats is $100 and $300 for dogs. The adoption fee for paired cats is $170.00 and for paired dogs is $500.00. 100% of all adoption fees go towards the medical care costs of Kindred Souls Foundation animals. All animals adopted out will have had a Well Pet Exam, be current on vaccines according to age, treated for fleas, de-wormed, be spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Kittens up to 6months are tested for FIV and cats over 6 months are combo (FIV / FeLV) tested at the time of intake.
