Bece's Story

Bece is a gorgeous black cat. Can you guess how she received her name? We believe Bece is about 4 years old (born about 1/14/2022). She was first rescued by her wonderful foster family when they discovered her struggling outside. Her ear was tipped because she was originally supposed to be a TNR (trap-neuter-return) cat but her rescuer saw great potential in her and they were extremely worried about her getting hit by a car so they brought her inside. For the last two years they have been gaining her trust and she is now ready to add joy to a new forever family.

Bece can be quite shy at first but she is also very curious and once she warms up to you, she is very affectionate. One of her favorite things is to have her belly petted and she will pull your hands in close and hug you as you rub her belly. She enjoys being brushed and will roll over and purr while you are doing it which is a good bonding opportunity for both of you too!

She is a very social cat but hasn’t yet learned about lap-sitting. She does like to roll on the floor in front of you and flop her body onto your leg for pets and her foster mom believes it won’t be long until she will be a lap kitty. She is a quiet cat with a calm disposition. Bece loves to interact and play with other cats in her foster home but because she is timid and reserved, she is easily bullied so a home with another calm yet playful cat would be a nice fit for her.

Bece is great at using her scratchers and a favorite will go with her to her new home along with other supplies for a good start in a new home. She loves to do somersaults around her scratcher while looking at you upside down. She is goofy and quick to play but will just as quickly pull your hand to her face for cuddles. She wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. Loud noises scare her so a home with only older children or adults will work best.

Bece is an interesting combination of goofy, nervous, and affectionate while being gentle and sweet at the same time. Her foster family believes they are just beginning to see the extend of her wonderful personality.
