Bebe's Story

Bebe, a sassy and confident brown tabby, has a special story behind her rescue. She was found abandoned in a carrier on the sidewalk just down the street from our partner lounge. Since she had nowhere else to go, Bebe was placed in the lounge bathroom to await a foster placement. At the time she was a tiny girl, resembling a kitten herself, but it quickly became known that she was pregnant. A month later, as she came to term, we noticed she was struggling with labor and needed medical attention; she ended up needing a C-section because one of her kittens was blocking the birth canal. Given her size, no one could imagine she was carrying a whopping total of eight kittens! Although two unfortunately did not survive, Bebe was soon reunited with her remaining six kittens in foster care, where she dutifully raised them for the next four months. By fall, Bebe returned to the lounge as an official adoptable resident and watched as each of her kittens found homes. Now retired from motherhood, she generally prefers the company of people to cats. Self-assured and resolute, Bebe will eagerly walk over to any outstretched hands anticipating pets and attention, even recognizing her name and responding to it. She can also be playful—enjoying kicker toys, tunnels, and springs—but her absolute favorite toys are bouncy balls she can hop and scramble after. At the lounge Bebe can get overstimulated and will quickly let you know when she wants to be left alone, but in a home she would feel much more relaxed. She is actually quite tolerant of being handled and doesn’t fight being picked up or having her nails trimmed, although she will grumble to express her discontent. While wouldn’t classify Bebe as a lap cat, she does love to accompany her people and will stick close to you on the bed or sofa, inviting you to pet and fawn over her. Overall Bebe just wants to find someone that will spoil her and let her relive the kittenhood that was taken from her, and with her larger
than life personality her adopters will quickly realize they found an absolute treasure of a cat.

All of our adoptable cats reside at Feline Good Social Club cat lounge in Long Beach, CA. This arrangement allows potential adopters to meet and spend time with our kitties in a comfortable space, so you can get to know exactly who they are before deciding who to adopt.

If you are interested in adopting, you can start the process by filling out our online Adoption Questionnaire at: https://fs6.formsite.com/lbf5forms/form2/index.html

All cats adopted through Long Beach Felines are vaccinated, spayed/neutered,
dewormed, deflead, tested for FeLV & FIV, and microchipped.
