Beauty 's Story
Beauty (approx. DOB 9/4/16) is a gorgeous black-and-white, long-haired female cat with an unmistakable black “beauty mark” on her face. Some might say she has a resting grumpy face, but the more you get to know her, the more her beauty—inside and out—shines through. She can be shy and easily startled at first, and it takes her some time to feel safe enough to show her true personality. However, once Beauty trusts you, she truly blossoms.

Beauty loves being pet and brushed—especially chin and head scratches. With her long, thick coat, regular brushing is important to prevent matting and hairballs, and she’s more than happy to help by twisting, stretching, or flopping down to show you exactly where she wants attention next.

Beauty prefers her personal space and doesn’t enjoy other cats getting too close. She may hiss or simply walk away if another cat crowds her. She currently coexists well with the calm, respectful cats in her foster home but she would likely thrive the most being a solo cat. At mealtime, Beauty will politely walk away if another cat tries to steal her wet food, so she does best when fed separately where she can eat in peace.

She enjoys gazing out the windows and keeping a quiet eye on everything happening outside. Beauty also loves to play with toys—often making the strangest (and sometimes alarming!) sounds while doing so. Don’t worry, it’s just Beauty happily playing and likely searching for the perfect hiding spot for her toy.

Beauty will need a patient and understanding home—people who are willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust. In her foster home, she initially only allowed pets when she was already settled in a cozy spot. If we approached her while she was sitting at the window or just walking around, she would trot away. Over time, she has grown more confident and trusting, and now she’s less cautious when someone she trusts comes near, especially if she knows we have treats or are coming to pet her. Her future family should expect a similar journey, knowing that with patience, Beauty will reward them with affection, companionship, and her quiet, unique charm. Due to her cautious nature, a home without young children would likely be the best fit for her.

Beauty has age appropriate vaccines, is fixed, microchipped, dewormed, fiv/felv negative and comes with a dose of flea prevention. She is being fostered in Sun Prairie WI. Adoption application- https://airtable.com/appORyt7en5g7OnBP/shr8EN7ftrkQZ4rzu
