BEAUTIFUL BLANCHE - GOLDEN GIRL!

BLANCHE is a gorgeous, sweet, Abyssinian - Bengal mix girl, estimated to be about 9 years old. For our cats that have endured trauma and hard circumstances, we are asking for support from the heart. Not for numbers or goals, but for lives like BLANCHE'S.<br/><br/>BLANCHE was found on Cherry Street in Waterbury while one of our volunteers was helping gather over a thousand pet food meals for the Waterbury Senior Center. She was lying face down in a parking lot (two of the pictures show her the day of her rescue), barely responsive, quiet and exhausted. For weeks, our volunteer returned to feed her and the other outdoor cats and learned that she had been abandoned not once, but twice.<br/>She was gentle. She waited for others to eat first. She never came close to the trap. She didn’t expect help. She didn’t expect love.<br/><br/>One day, while she slept, our volunteer carefully scooped her up with a net. That moment changed everything. She has been with us, learned to trust and love again, and has been fully vetted, and now she is happy, healthy, and ready for her permanent home! She is, however, completely deaf. She doesn't allow it to get in her way at all...and she's always aware of when you're around, and perks up for attention.<br/><br/>BLANCHE is the perfect lap cat! She loves to be pet or brushed and get belly rubs while she lays next to you on the sofa while purring her little heart out. She has fur like a rabbit. If you want a cuddly cat, this is the one! She gets nervous and squirmy when picked up, due to what she has gone through, but loves affection and attention. Once she trusts that you won't hurt her, she's a complete mush!<br/> <br/>BLANCHE loves people, and should adjust quickly to other cats. She is also incredibly pretty! Won’t you let her join your family and have a forever home??? <br/><br/>BLANCHE is fully vetted and is ready for immediate adoption!<br/><br/>Make sure to send an email requesting an application. IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR IMMEDIATE ADOPTION, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!!!<br/><br/>Filling out an application does not guarantee adoption of a particular cat or kitten. We receive many applications for each listed cat, and we review them carefully to ensure a good fit. Of approvable applications, we give precedence to the earliest that we receive.<br/><br/>All of our cats and kittens are rescued, most locally, or surrendered to us by their previous owners, and they are now eager to join their new families!<br/><br/>All of our cats are spayed/neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as given flea, heartworm, and ear mite prevention.<br/><br/>We do not DNA or allergy test our cats. We cannot guarantee the breed mix, as we are a rescue, not breeders.<br/><br/>Please note that we are a privately run rescue. We are not government funded and get very few donations.
