Beau's Story

Meet Beau!
This handsome boy is a 2 year old male Domestic Shorthair cat. He's here through no fault of his own when his owner could not take care of him any longer. It's definitely been an adjustment for him getting used to the shelter, but his loving personality is shining through and we can tell he desperately wants a forever home!
Beau isn't feeling too outgoing at the moment as he gets used to us. He's not being mean or aggressive, but he prefers to hide and gets very scared if we try to take him out of his condo. As he settles in mire he is starting to explore slowly, but it will take time for him to fully feel safe in this new and confusing place. As he gets used to us, though, he is asking for attention more and will gladly rub up on our hands wanting pet! Slow and steady will be they key to winning Beau's trust, but he is totally worth it.
Beau lived with dogs and kids in his previous home and got along with them all. With him being stressed in this new environment, though, he might not be a fan of kids that won't respect his space. If he does go to a home with children it will be important to supervise them around Beau until he has a chance to get used to them so they aren't scaring him right off the bat. We always recommend bringing the whole family out o meet a new pet before bringing them home.
Beau has received his first round of vaccinations, and he is litter box trained. He's ready to get out of the chaotic shelter, and back into a stable home where he can truly be himself! If you think Beau could be the cat for you, come out and meet him today!
