Beasley's Story

Status: available for foster-to-adopt only

Gender: male, neutered
Approximate age: 2-3 years old

Likes: rubbing up against your legs, being pet on his terms, cat nip, toys, and food

Dislikes: being pet incorrectly, other cats, dogs, kids

Personality: used to be very aggressive with us. He threatened to bite a few times but never did. After several months, he changed and really enjoys being pet and begs for love. Constantly craves attention. Even does ok for nail trims now, too!

Background: was living in a feral colony. Was nice on intake but quickly showed signs of being a feral. When his combo test came back positive for FIV, we knew he couldn’t go back outside. He’s cat-aggressive and would likely spread the virus. After months of working with him, he has done a complete 180 and is great with us now.

Vetting done: neutered, rabies vaccine, full FVRCP series, combo test (neg for FeLV but pos for FIV), and Rev+. Microchip available upon request.

Concerns:
Medical: has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). No current complications. FIV+ cats can live long-healthy lives.

Behavioral: used to be mean. He’s very strong so we recommend an experienced adopter only who knows how to read body language.

Intake date: 3/1/24

Location: Holding space

Fee waived! Indefinite foster-to-adopt option available!

Adopt:
https://form.jotform.com/rightmeowrescue/adoption-application
