Bear's Story

Meet Bear - The Shy Sweetheart

Bear is a sweet, sensitive boy who has been through a lot. He was bullied by another cat in his previous home and because of that he is understandably cautious around other cats.

With humans, though? He is a quiet, tender soul who watches you with soft eyes from his favorite cat tree, slowly warming up as he learns he is safe. He loves being near his people - he just needs a little time and patience to show his full heart.

While Bear is not the biggest fan of other cats, he does tolerate calm, respectful ones who give him space. He would thrive as an only cat or with a companion who is content to ignore him.

This boy is very food-motivated, which is wonderful for building trust. Treats and mealtime are the quickest way to his heart. Bear prefers to hand out in the cat trees around you, observing and relaxing. He has not made it to a lap yet-though that may be because the other cats get there first. With fewer competitors and a little time, he may very well discover the joy of lap snuggles.

Bear would do best in a calm, patient home where he can blossom at his own pace. He is perfect for someone who appreciates a gentle, low-key companion and finds joy in earning the trust of a shy cat.

There is something incredibly special about a shy cat who chooses you. Bear is that kind of cat-quiet, observant, and full of love he is wanting to share once he feels safe. With time, kindness, and treats, he will become a loyal, comforting presence in your home.

He is fixed, has had vaccines, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), and is microchipped.

We want all our cats to go to good homes and for that reason we try to keep our adoption fees at a reasonable price.
