Bayou's Story
For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org.
Meet Bayou, a gentle soul looking for a patient home. This sweet boy is on the shy side, but beneath his cautious nature is a gentle kitten just waiting to build trust with the right person. He may prefer to watch you from a safe distance while he gets used to new surroundings. But when tempted by his favorite treats, he will surprise you by hopping onto your lap to enjoy a quiet snack and some gentle company. Once he starts to trust you, his sweet personality begins to shine.
Bayou loves playtime and can often be found romping around with his brothers: Creole, Cajun, Gumbo, and Mardi Gras. He also has a fun extra skill: every now and then he enjoys hopping onto the cat treadmill for a little run!
He was born into foster care after his mother, Kopi, was rescued as a stray. Growing up with his brothers has helped him feel safe and supported. He would do best to be adopted with one of them or into a home with another friendly cat.
This sensitive little guy would thrive in a calm, patient home where he can take his time learning to trust. With kindness and understanding, Bayou has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.

Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
