His rescuer first noticed him sometime in September of last year. She noticed that he was living in the woods and that he wasn’t feral but he wouldn’t come to her. She's not really sure how long he was outside. It was very obvious to her that a human hurt Baxter and hurt him badly. She worked with him for a little while and finally got him to allow her to touch him. She moved him into her two bedroom vacant apartment but only at night. He would go out during the day and then come to the door at night to come in. As time passed, she moved him into her basement at home so he could be an indoor kitty, while trying to find him a furever home. Baxter is a sweet, loving, playful boy. He loves to play ball, he will throw it in the air and catch it. He is truly amazing. He’s very shy until you get to know him and then after you bond with him, he will watch TV with you and sit on your lap to cuddle. He just wants love so badly. It very much seems that he was someone's pet at some point but he had no microchip and no one has been looking for him. All of this points to the likelihood that he was dumped by previous owners, so it's very important that he finds somebody that wants him and will love him the way he deserves to be loved.
