Basil Ellis's Story

This distinguished grey boy strikes quite a handsome pose with his huge round eyes. He looks like he's always amazed by what is around him!

Basil is very active and loves chasing his kitty friends, or playing with any toy that is tossed across the room. He gets along well with his roommate, Aidan, and is very interested in other cats. When other house cats are granted visiting rights in his room, Basil chirps and trills the whole time! It is unknown how he would be with dogs.

Basil takes a LONG time to warm up to humans. He can be very judgmental and has a tendency to get a bit slappy. When (if) he decides he likes you, he purrs, gives eskimo kisses, and snuggles on the bed with you. He thrives on a calm, quiet, gentle house with older humans (teenager and up). He needs a predictable routine and patient humans to let him warm up on his own terms.

Basil likes long pets down his back, but other pets (short, fast head scritches, for example) can annoy him and result in warning nips.

Basil is neutered, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLv and FIV. His estimated birthdate is May 2025.
