Basil's Story

Basil is a sweet, shy boy. He is one year old and loves to play and talk. He will “purr-meow” as he tries to get his other foster kitty siblings to play with him. He is shy and prefers not to be carried but will tolerate it. He gets along with all his kitty siblings and would love a new playmate in his adoptive home. He tolerates his foster dog siblings if they respect his space. Basil loves to play and once he warms up to you, is the sweetest boy and loves to be pet and scratched.

His initial “stranger danger” fears will mean that he will need a home with older kids who won’t chase him. He will also need someone patient and kind and committed to giving him a full month to get used to his new home. Initially, he will need a small space like a bedroom or large dog crate to live in for at least two to three weeks. He will need someone who can be patient while he learns to trust you. Once that trust is established, Basil will show you just how sweet he really is. If you are committed to waiting for this shy boy to blossom, please apply!
