Bart's Story

Meet Bart! Bart was rescued from South LA Animal shelter where he was euthanasia listed due to severe over crowding at the shelter. Bart is extremely friendly, affectionate, mellow, gets along great with cats and dogs and loves humans! Bart is FIV+ but this is only transmittable to other cats through deep bite wounds and because Bart is friendly with other cats, it is a very low transmission rate. He is currently being fostered with a house of cats that are both FIV+ and FIV- and is co-mingling just fine! If you are interested in a super sweet, lap cat, look no further! Please copy and paste the link below into a browser and fill out an application there if you are interested!

https://www.boomersbuddies.com/adopt

Boomer's Buddies Rescue's Adoption Policy
-You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. -You must live in Los Angeles or within a 4-hour driving distance. We do not ship animals. -In order to ensure the safety of our animals, you must be comfortable with conducting a virtual home-check (over FaceTime or Skype) or in-person home-check in which every member of your household must be present. -Most of our cats need to be adopted either in pairs or to homes that have other friendly cats/dogs (unless it is noted in the animal's profile). This is to ensure the cat has a lifelong companion when the human is not around and can prevent future behavioral issues that arise out of boredom/frustration. - Our adoption fee is $200 for a cat and $250 for a dog. If you are adopting two kittens as a pair, it is $175 each ($350 total). This includes at least one round of vaccines, microchipping, de-worming, tested for FeLV/FIV (for cats) spay/neuter, and a round of flea meds administered. -Our adoption fee does not cover the average cost of our rescues. We always provide any necessary medical care for the animals we take in, such as surgery for injuries or congenital problems, x-rays, blood panels, fecal tests, and treatment for upper respiratory infections and viruses. Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue animals most in need. Please note that due to the high volume of inquiries, you may not receive a response to your application.
