Barney's Story

Barney is a mostly white calico girl with a gentle, shy personality. She may be a little timid upon first meeting, but with just a bit of patience and kindness, she blossoms into the sweetest companion. Barney loves to cuddle up for naps with her siblings Skippy and Jelly Bean, or her favourite person. She has a playful side too and especially enjoys chasing after her brother and sister during zoomie time. Every day she grows a little braver, learning to climb her cat tree and play with her kitten toys. With her tender heart and loving nature, Barney will surely form a deep bond with anyone lucky enough to call her family.

The Volcano Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit sanctuary focused on fostering kittens ages 4 to 12 weeks and reducing the feral and stray cat population in Hawaii. Our missions is to help protect native bird species and sea mammals, while also providing care and better lives for the felines in Hawaii.
