Barn Cats's Story
Wild Blue is looking for safe barns or businesses for shy, feral and semi-feral cats, adult and young adult cats, male and female, all colors, shapes and sizes. They have come from all kinds of bad situations... these cats are all safe now and are fixed and vaccinated. They just need a new place to call home such as a ranch, warehouse, brewery, etc.

Two simple rules:
1) You must be willing to feed and shelter these cats during the initial acclimation (6 to 8 weeks) to your property. They need to stay "contained" in a secure space while you are caring for them. This allows them imprint on their home property.
2) You will continue to provide food and shelter for them once they are released on your property.

An ideal situation is a barn home with acreage and possible other outbuildings to hang out around. These cats tend to be nonsocial at first, but over time, may warm up to you and be in your presence or hang with you a bit. In either case, they will help with mouse and do vermin control on your property.

Wild Blue Cats! is happy to help assess your property, answer questions, provide setup if necessary, and make sure the situation is both good for you and for the cats. We'd love to get them settled into their new homes as soon as possible. Wild Blue Cats! will travel within a two-hour radius of Colorado Springs to help get these cats set up in a new home.

If you do not have a secure room to house them in, they can be set up in a condo of wire crates to help get them acclimated. Wild Blue Cats! can help with that too and loan out equipment. All initial supplies will be provided to help the cats. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and most will be ear-tipped before being placed. We prefer cats to go in pairs, so if you can provide a home for two or more cats in need, please contact us by phone at 719-900-2287, by email at barncats@wbcats.org or on Facebook.
