Barley's Story

Very fat cat looking for home.

Hi I'm Barley! I was abandoned earlier this year when my family moved away and left me behind. I was so sad that I never left the spot they left me in and people thought I was paralyzed or broken! Then, I got sick and developed a urinary infection. Thankfully someone took pity on my sad little soul and reached out for help. My foster mom takes in sad adult cats when no one else does so that's how I ended up where I am today.

My foster mom isn't sure how I got to be so fat but I am a food lover. She limits my food intake and I've lost weight but I have a ways to go, according to my foster mom. I don't think I need to lose weight I think there's just more of me to love!

I'm a quirky little spitfire. I love human affection but I don't like to be picked up and I do not like being touched on my sides or close to my tail. I want so badly to spend time with a forever human. I'd love to lounge around with you and catch some tv with you or lounge by the sun while you're away. I get along with other cats as long as the cat is respectful of my space. I can get a little spicy if I feel like another cat is trying to come into my space so if I'm being adopted by a family with an existing cat I just ask that this cat is going to respect my boundaries. Also watch out for me because I will quickly eat my food and eat any other cat's food as well. Oops.

Anyways if I sound like a good time and you like my round little face, reach out to my foster mom so you can have a chat about me! I'm excited to join a forever family. I was seriously let down my last home, I need stability and responsible pawrents. Thanks for reading!
