Barley's Story

Hey there! I'm Barley

If you ever stop by the shelter in the morning, you'll probably meet me first-I'm part of the official *morning welcoming committee*! Every day, I'm right there to greet the shelter owner with happy little meows and lots of love. Mornings are my favorite time, and that's when I'm extra affectionate, extra sweet, and very ready to start the day with you.

I was born in the summer of 2025 on a farm to a stray mama, along with my littermates and even some older kitten cousins. Life there wasn't very safe-the barn sat way too close to a busy road, and when we were finally brought to the shelter, we were all really sick. It took medicine, eye ointment, and a whole lot of love, but now I'm healthy, happy, and definitely just a little spoiled.

I've always been one of the friendlier kittens in my group. I've got the cutest little baby meow (or so I've been told), and I *love* attention-especially if you happen to have snacks. I might even dance around your feet at mealtime just to remind you I'm there! Once I get to know you, I'm all about cuddles, kisses, and being picked up for some extra love. However, it will take some time and patience to get me to the point of being lovey dovey in the new atmosphere.

I'm also a big fan of other cats. I grew up surrounded by them, and I feel happiest when I have feline friends to play and cuddle with. Because of that, I'd really love a home with another kitty (or two!) to keep me company.

I'm neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and negative for FeLV/FIV-completely ready for my forever home.

I've come a long way from that tiny farm kitten, and now I'm just waiting for someone to choose me. Someone to share mornings with... someone to greet at the door... someone to love.

What do you say-do you have room for me in your home?

Adoption Application:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SCPA/Cat
