Barley's Story

Hey! My name is Barley!

I'm a friendly little boy who likes to dance around your feet when it's dinner time!

I was born on a farm to a stray mother cat. My shelter mom spotted me, my littermates, and my older kitten cousins during her drive to work. She collaborated with the farmer to ensure that we were all safely trapped and brought to the shelter. I'm so grateful for that, because the barn was far too close to a busy road, and it turned out that we were all very sick little kittens. After a round of antibiotics, eye ointment, and plenty of love, we have since become healthy and very spoiled kittens.

I've always been one of the friendlier kittens of my litter. I have really sweet baby meows and I get REALLY lovey if you have food or treats to give me. I love to play with toys and my other shelter friends. I'll even let you pick me up and give me kisses- after I get to know you.

Since I'm used to living with a colony, I would prefer to be in a home with other cats.

I'm neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. I was born in the summer of 2025.

(Did you see my baby picture of the first time my shelter mom saw me!?!?)

What do you say?
