Barbie's Story
Barbie is a beautiful long-haired black cat with a gentle spirit and an independent streak. At just 2 years old, she's still a young cat, but she approaches life on her own terms.

Barbie is a bit shy and reserved when meeting new people. She's not the type to demand attention or insist on being the center of the action. Instead, she prefers a quieter lifestyle, checking in with her favorite humans once or twice a day for some affection before heading back to one of her favorite cozy hideaways.

While Barbie enjoys the company of other cats and can often be found playing with her feline friends, she appreciates having the freedom to take breaks when she's had enough socializing. When she's finished with playtime, she'll quietly retreat to a comfortable spot to relax and recharge.

Unlike many young cats, Barbie isn't particularly interested in traditional cat toys. Her favorite form of entertainment is a good scratching pad, which she happily puts to use. She's also not a fan of dogs and would prefer a home without canine roommates.

Barbie would thrive in a patient, understanding home that appreciates her independent nature and allows her to build confidence at her own pace. She's a sweet girl who doesn't ask for much, just a safe place to call home and people who respect her need for a little personal space.

Barbie is about 2 years old, spayed and vaccinated. She is indoor only and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. The adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a quiet companion who values both friendship and independence, Barbie may be the perfect addition to your family.

You can download our Adoption Application at bit.ly/4vrrWiq; OR if you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver, we would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to info@oswegohumane.org!
