Barbeque Squirrel

Barbeque Squirrel is a domestic shorthair that came into our care in September 2025. Poor Barbeque was abandoned at a vacant property in Clovis, CA. The humble realtors noticed she seemed skinny, ill and in desperate need of rescue. They contacted Valley Animal Center in hopes of getting Barbeque Squirrel a loving place to stay while she awaits a furever home. This poor girl sustained some eye ulcers during her time out on the streets. Our veterinarian has examined her and the ulcers, determining that they are healed and she is healthy as can be now with no needed treatments. <br/><br/>Barbeque Squirrel is calm, affectionate, and very sweet. She can come off as shy at first but we promise she is the best kitty. She would do well with children and other kitties with a slow introduction.
